Why does Avast keep saying threat has been detected?
Avast will not stop popping up saying 'threat has been detected' i ran an avast scan and it said that the system was secured and there were 0 infected files. Then I ran a windows defender scan and it said no unwanted or harmful software detected, your computer is running normally. What should I do to make sure that my computer is secured? Or to make Avast stop popping up?

Boot the computer into Windows Safe Mode by pressing F8 about once every second during startup.

Now download and run the Windows Defender application.

Run your updated antivirus.

Download Spybot (free version available) from http://www.safer-networking.org/

Run Malwarebytes from http://www.lavasoft.de

Run a registry cleaner.

Now reboot and see what happens. This should have got rid of it.

If not, then post a second question with details of what is infecting it.

what are you doing when the alert is sounding?
are you on a file sharing web site such as Pirate Bay or similar muisic, movie, game sharing web site?
If you are then Avast is telling you the web site is a KNOWN malware/trojan/worn/virus payload injection site.

Avast is doing its job and PREVENTING your computer from being injected with a malware payload, so scanning your computer for visuses will find nothing because AVAST is doing its job.

So anytiime the alert soiunds STOP going to that web site
