How do I know what Windows server I have?
What should I do when I have Windows Vista Home Basic inorder to find out what my 'Windows server' is?

1-Click Start, and then click Run.

2-In the box, type winver , and then click OK.

If u r connected with the LAN through any media. Use the tools like ip scanner and using that u can find the ip adress of the remote system and u can also find the OS.
