How do you find device drivers and hardware info in windows.?
I'm new to windows (well that is i haven't used it since 2000), but i recently set up a windows machine in my home, and it is missing several drivers (as expected). In linux i would type "lspci" to find out the hardware information, but this doesn't work in XP, and xp's "device manager" does not give any useful information on devices without drivers.

How can i find drivers for hardware when i don't know exactly what kind of chip set it is? (for example, Audio drivers or Wifi). Is there a windows equivalent to lspci/lsusb?

There is a free program, SIW (system information for windows).
It provides extremely, extremely comprehensive info about your machine and system.
The free version is a 2mb download and a very minimal install.
