removing a light switch?
I recently bought a new house. I setup a home office in one room and there is a light switch installed that will turn off and on the power to the outlet to like my router etc which should always be on. I'd like to ideally remove the light switch so that the outlet is always on.

What would be the best way to do such a thing?

I'm familiar with like installing dimmer switches etc. Would this be a job more complicated than something like that? Should I call an electrician?

The switch must be installed in the hot wire that it feed the out lets ,illuminate the switch and connect the wire together by wire nut safely. Then use the out let blank cap and cover the box by it .

Yes connect the two wires at the switch and put a cap and tape on it and then you can either leave the switch there...not working or put a solid cover over it. I think the switch looks better but????Be sure you turn the electric off before touching the wires or removing anything.
