Looking for a Hi-Res 12" x 17" Flatbed Scanner?
Hello, I am looking for a high resolution, 12" x 17" flatbed scanner for work. I am assigned to documenting the history of this company. Like any (older) company, it has LOTS of pictures. The largest picture so far that I have come across is a 11x17. My boss has told me to come up with a list of three scanners, so that he can have some options as to which one he will chose. I have already come up with the lower-end and medium grade scanners, and now was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to which high-end scanner I should choose. The price limit is 5,000 dollars, and any resolution above 1,600 x 3,200 dpi will do just fine. I will be monitoring this question like a hawk, so feel free to leave clarifying questions and I will try to edit this post ASAP.

Best Regards,
~Max

Max, check out the Plustek OpticPro A320 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/53...tbed.html. This scanner is 1600dpi x 1600dpi and is perfectly adequate for scanning photos or pre-press materials.

Why do you think you need more than 1600 x 3200 dpi for scanning photos?

Don't let the price fool you. This is a professional quality scanner.
