How much does the Cisco Eos Platform software cost? - Ja - 12-21-2012 09:29 AM

I may be interested in purchasing it to build a social networking site myself, and it looks easy enough for a child to use. Does anyone know the cost of it? Yes, I emailed their sales team, but what can I say... I want to know now. LOL

The Cisco Eos platform is licensed on a revenue share basis, with the "cost" of the platform coming from a % of the advertising, e-commerce and subscription revenue being generated by the customer on their portfolio of sites. Since there is a ramp up period, there are licensing fees and minimums required in the early days to cover the hard costs of delivering the platform for a customer. In general, those costs would be in the low six figures for a media company deploying a large portfolio of Eos-powered sites. An exact cost would depend on your portfolio and the minimum traffic commitments you're prepared to make.

Please remember that Cisco Eos is a platform targeted to media companies creating, managing and monetizing 10s if not 100s of social entertainment sites and is not necessarily geared for folks looking to deploy a limited number of social networking sites.
